MUST LOVE KISSES! Little 6lb, 7-8-year-old Lisa came to Cherished Tails from Yuma where she was brought in as a stray to the local humane society. This sweet little dog loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is timid and is a stop & go walker on the leash but does enjoy a walk in the park. Lisa is not a fan of car rides, preferring to stay at home and await your return perched in a little bed on the back of a sofa. She is gentle and does well at the vet. She warms up to visitors slowly because she needs a bit of time to decide to approach a new person. She but given a bit of time does well with men, women, and other little dogs. She is a little shadow to her person, following them around and in general just being a good companion. Her favorite place is cuddling next to you in the bed all night, sleeping tight. Lisa has had a dental and an appointment at Eye Care for Animals. She has little or no vision in her right eye due to damage to the cornea. She does have two eye drops for both eyes and the specialist thinks she will just need one medicine long term at around $10/month and is due for a follow-up in a couple months. She has grade 2 luxating patella's common in her breed but has no pain and jumps/walks fine. Lisa is also spayed and current on vaccines Little Lisa is a bit picky about her potty spots. She has been 95% house trained in her foster home, but does take some time to adapt to a new situation. Given regular access to a quiet spot with shade, grass or small rocks or other natural materials, she does fine. But her new owner should be prepared to be persistent and patient in housetraining and expect an accident or two. Lisa is a sweet little dog who just adores her special person/people.
