About Louie

Louie is an adorable, socialized, loving and energetic 5 month old blue nose pit bull puppy with merle coating. He looks like cookies and cream ice cream :) We are pregnant, and sadly cannot take on the additional member of the home. He will be a wonderful addition to a family who loves cuddles and play time. Here are some things to know about Louie: -Does well with 'sit', 'stay', recall ('come') in most circumstances -Pretty well leash trained! He will walk by your side and make eye contact for treats. We use 'heel' as the command -He is 95% house trained. He has perhaps just one accident per week and it's usually by the front door) -He is 95% create trained. He goes to be in his crate at 10pm. We let him out for a pee and poop between 4-6am. Back in the crate until breakfast usually at 7:30am and then he is out. At night, you can expect him to be basically silent and ready for some r&r in his crate. During the day, he does really well not whining or barking, whether you are in the same room or not. In other words, when we crate him during the day, he will be self sufficient for a good 3 hours in the crate if you've given him a bone or a stick or a peanut butter kong, even if you're home. During the day we cap crate time to no more than 6 hours total, home or not. -Louie plays with other dogs, big and small, and has been around neighborhood kids. He is a really friendly dog - doesn't know a stranger -BIG cuddler! He would love to sleep with us and probably on our faces, so be ready for lots of kisses and goofiness. -Louie really is a great dog. There isn't anything we don't love about him! Some areas of improvement for Louie: -Louie is still jumping. Naturally puppies jump, but this is something we haven't nipped completely -This may not be an issue for your home, but he is used to being on beds and couches, so 'place' or 'off' might be commands to work on with him Louie will come with the following: -Vaccination records (from Furever Vet Jacksonville Beach) -Birth date: 1/29/25 -Weight: 30 pounds -A dog collar -Leash -Diggs dog crate -we will sell this discounted if you need or are interested -Baby gates - we have a couple of varying sizes, so again happy to negotiate an overall price
