My foster mom brought me home on July 13 - the day I was supposed to be euthanized. She had every intention of keeping me, but life circumstances are preventing her from being my forever mom. The shelter staff says I was in 3 fights, and even though I did not start them, I was put on the red list for 'behavioral issues.' Since my foster mom brought me home, I've been a sweetheart. I made friends with my 2 dog siblings here and have never started a fight or entertained bad behaviors. My forever family should know that I am a very energetic girl. Even though I'm only 27 pounds, I can be a lot to handle when I jump and want to be in your lap. I love going on walks and exploring the backyard. I could probably benefit from running with my mom or dad. I also really love cuddles - I REALLY love cuddles. I am being crate trained, potty trained, and am learning basic commands like 'sit,' 'down,' and 'stay.' I'm only a baby (1 year, 7 months), so I need a little training. I love my toys, especially my chew toys, and that kind of enrichment works well for me. I'm very good with humans and other dogs so far, but I have not met any cats.
