About Mr. Spooks

Mr. Spooks showed up at our front door on May 29th in pitiful condition and made himself right at home. We took him to the vet for a checkup the next morning due to his condition and had him neutered and his missing eye cleaned. He had an upper respiratory infection that was cleared up with medication and has not recurred in the time that he's been in our home. We already have three cats, and due to his FIV cannot integrate him into our household. Per the vet, he needs to be in a single cat, indoor only home. The following questions were answered to the best of my ability, but I don't really have enough information to answer accurately, and here is why: #1. He is great with adults, but we don't have children in our home, so I couldn't answer the human compatibility question with any degree of certainty about children. #2. We believe that he is approximately one year old. #3. As to his cat compatibility, we were told to keep him quarantined from our cats, so I'm not sure how he will do. He has encountered them at times, and has sniffed and even chased them, but I wouldn't let them interact so I'm not sure how he would do. Because the vet recommends a single cat household and not allowing him to go outdoors, it should be a moot point anyway. Some additional information: Mr. Spooks has six toes on each front paw and five on each back paw. He loves his toys and will bring them to you one by one if you happen to be stationary. He's very vocal while playing and when he's lonely. He's very social and loves to be around his humans. We're training him on a harness so that he can go outside under our supervision. He likes to escape, so you have to be on your toes when opening an outside door. He likes water and especially likes to help do dishes. As I mentioned above, we had him neutered, but he will need to have another surgery to have his right eye closed permanently.
