About Yama

Yama's soulful eyes will make you fall in love with this gentle girl. Lovely stature and distinctive markings add to her allure! She is playful and affectionate, but shy at first, and will need someone with the patience to help her get used to a new setting. Yama will do well as part of a family or one on one with someone who can dote on her. She loves relaxed mornings and a walk on a trail, the beach or the sidewalk. She's not picky about her surroundings, just wants to be loved. She is leash and house trained, spayed and vaccinated. Yama is not much of a barker but will let you know when she needs to go outside, or if there is danger lurking! Yama was found as a puppy in Ganado, Az and is fostering in Durango Colorado on behalf of the rescue organization, Blackhat Humane Society. She has been living in a household of people and dogs and gets along well. Yama has mild hip dysplasia and benefits from a good diet, a lean physique and a moderate amount of exercise.
