About Stormy

On June 12, 46 dogs were saved from a 'rescue' in Patrick County where they were living in crates and outdoor kennels and not being properly cared for. As you know we have a special place in our hearts for Patrick County Public Animal Shelter and were able to help them by taking six of the dogs into our program! Meet Stormy, whose life may have gotten off to a stormy start but is ready for sunshine and rainbows ahead! Stormy is a 25 pound, mixed breed fella who is guessed to be about 3 years old. He is a bright little guy who is shy but ready to learn! He loves to get his toys out of the toy box and play, play, play! He's great with other dogs and loves attention but is still scared of busy places and new people. He will need someone who understands that Stormy did not come from a normal environment and will need basic training and time to adjust. A fenced in yard and at least one canine companion will make Stormy a very happy boy! Stormy is a lucky little guy and is ready to start the search for his furEVER home! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
