PRINCE HARRY is a one year old, 15.6 pound Terrier who miraculously appeared in Francine's yard one morning. Video footage showed somebody putting him over the fence and he hung out in a corner anxiously waiting for them to come back until Francine found him. PRINCE HARRY is as cute and affectionate as they come. He loves his people and wants to be wherever you are, whether that's curled up in the big bed at night or romping around the yard. He is very active and lives for playtime! Zoomies, chase, wrestling with other dogs, splashing in the hose or sprinkler, he's all in! Toys and treats? Yes, please! But PRINCE HARRY is still very much a work in progress. He's energetic, mouthy, and still learning manners. He'll jump up, put your hand in his mouth, or nip when he's excited to play. He wants to be in your space constantly and is frequently underfoot. He needs a patient adopter who understands he never learned good boundaries. His previous owner likely roughhoused with him, so he needs someone committed to positive training to help him learn 'no' really means no. Potty training is another big area for improvement. PRINCE HARRY will go outside if you take him and watch him, but he doesn't yet ask to go out and doesn't fully grasp the point of potty pads. He's young and smart, but he'll need structure, supervision, and consistency. The ideal home for PRINCE HARRY will have a securely fenced yard, he's super active! He definitely should have another young playful dog in his home to help wear him out. He has not been tested with kids or cats. If kids are in the home they should be big enough to run and play and sturdy enough for accidental nips! He would definitely benefit from a family ready to invest time in training. PetSmart group classes would help a lot! If you're up for some work, you'll be rewarded with a fun, loving, silly companion who keeps life interesting and your heart full. PRINCE HARRY just needs someone to help him become the best boy we know he can be! PRINCE HARRY has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida.
