About Belle

I have a AKC Lab female that we took in from a bad situation purely because we could not leave her there. Her name is Belle, she is at least 1 per the vet, her previous owner states she is pure AKC lab. We are not 100%, she is a bit on the smaller side. She weighs 45lbs. Has had all of her shots, she is not yet fixed as she has not had a heat yet that we know of. She is the sweetest dog, the rehome is no fault of her own. She is super high energy, she has some anxiety of new things. She currently is prescribed and taking fluoxetine for her anxiety. Which I truly think most of her anxiety is being cooped up inside an apartment. She show's absolutely no aggression, is the best lover. We have another dog and a cat she does really well with. Her place is on a farm or someone who has a large fenced yard, a place she can run and have freedom. (she does like to chase rabbits) She truly needs some time and attention and simple training. We work a lot to be able to sadly provide this, someone who is home and can work with her. She loves to swim and is an excellent retriever, run and play freely. She is amazing at the dog park. She doesn't have the best leash skills, she will pull and can figure out how to back out of her harness. We live in an apartment an have no fenced yard. We also work full time and she is spending more time in a kennel then having the freedom she needs. We took her in just to get her out of her bad situation. She was skinny and covered in feces when we got her. She just ran amuck since a baby puppy and had no human interaction, just was with her momma walking a farm. We have only had her since mid December. She truly is the sweetest dog but we are not serving her the justice she needs to fulfill her life and be truly happy. This breaks our heart but we know finding he perfect and right forever home for this sweet girl is the best thing. Apartment life and no yard is not for her. Adoption fee negatable, home check required.
