Meet Willow If you are looking for one of the sweetest young dogs out there, Willow may be that dog. We have fallen in love with this sweet and tender young pup. Willow looks to be a purebred Doberman Pincher. She is about a year old. She looks as if she has been bred already (so sad) and then she found her way to our no-kill shelter. Willow is a beauty, with a gorgeous dobie face. Her ears are natural and not cropped (yay!), but her tail has been cropped. Her eyes are quiet and gentle, filled with trust. Willow weighs 50 lbs., although she seems smaller than that. She has a glossy black short-haired coat. Willow was born with a deformed front leg. We can tell it bothers her. She tries to use her leg even though it doesn't touch the ground, giving her an awkward gait. We expect that our vet will want to remove her 'appendage,' giving her a lot better mobility and comfort. We'll follow our vet's advice whatever they think is best. Willow likes other dogs and wants to play. She also likes cats and does well with them. Willow is a gentle soul. She is calm, affectionate, friendly, quiet, and well-mannered. She may even be house-trained, but if she's not, she's smart and with consistency, she'll learn quickly. She is such a joy to be around. If you love Dobermans, Willow is a gem. She should be spoiled and cherished for the rest of her life. If interested in giving Willow a loving home and second chance, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter ([email protected]) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
