About Izzy

Brittany mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

ADOPT or FOSTER Say hello to Izzy, a sweet pup looking for a loving home and a fitness-oriented companion to match her love of activity and exercise! With Izzy, the fun never ends. She has the intelligence and heart to succeed in all things she attempts. She is currently in training where she's impressing everyone with her skills and eagerness to learn. Having an adopter or foster placement to transition from training to homelife would be ideal. Izzy is affectionate, goofy, and loyal once she bonds with you. Her secret sauce includes structure, training, and love. Izzy is a mixed breed and though she hasn't had DNA testing she looks and acts like Brittany / Australian Shepherd and similarly enjoys things to do for her mind and body. No matter, she's a great dog who would make an amazing sports or adventure partner. Despite her enthusiasm, Izzy prefers a calm, consistent home where she knows what to expect. She thrives on a daily routine and a person to look up to. She needs someone who either has experience with working dogs or someone who is excited and dedicated to learn along with her. As a young pup in Arkansas, Izzy was a star pupil always selected to go on public outings. However, after her initial adoption in MA, something changed and now she is a nervous dog. We are hoping she is adopted to someone who will help gain back some of that confidence! Izzy is best as an only pet because she doesn't understand social cues. She hasn't figured out proper play and feels out of place around other dogs. Still developing into her own, she is not a fit for children. If you think you're a match for Izzy and willing to help her grow confidence, keep up newly learned skills, and most of all be her snuggle partner at the end of a long day, please contact Tailgate Rescue at [email protected] and please tell them Animal Rescue Konnection sent you! Thank you!
