About Poppy

All dogs are located in southeast Arizona. They are located between Benson and Willcox, it is approximately 2 1/2 hours from Tempe, or 1 hour east of Tucson. Poppy is a remarkable girl with a long list of wonderful qualities. She is affectionate, athletic, brave, and dignified, and she has a quiet and gentle temperament. At the same time, Poppy is also curious, funny, and playful, Poppy gets so excited to sees a leash! She loves to explore, but she can also be content just lounging on the couch. Although Poppy is independent, she is also loyal and loving. She would make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a best friend. Poppy is a smart dog, Poppy is an older girl; she is approximately 8 years old. She weighs approximately 65 pounds. She is larger than her sister Daisy. Daisy and Poppy ended up in an overcrowded shelter when her owner failed to make arrangements when he passed. Thanks to a wonderful shelter, they reached out to Fedwell Farm to help, Although, we do not rescue Boxers, we were heartbroken by her and her sister's situation. While Poppy is her sister, they are independent enough that they do NOT have to go to a new home together, although that would be the ultimate if someone would adopt both of them together. She has already been through a lot and is ready to find a loving forever home where she can feel safe and secure.
