Dylan is an extremely loyal, loving, and playful, two-year-old, 68-pound, male black and tan German Shepherd with warm brown eyes looking for a loving guardian. Found stray, Dylan is a 'love the one you're with' kind of guy! He is incredibly loving and loyal to his person or family. And that love transfers to whoever he happens to be with. He is barky at first, but within moments, he's your new best friend giving kisses and taking treats. He has been in board and train for two months and is doing amazingly well. When he first came into rescue, he was so strong on leash, we had a hard time getting around the block. Now, he can walked using a martingale, loose leash, and no pulling! He knows the commands sit and down, and take treats gently from your fingers. Dylan loves water; when I turned on the sprinkler in my backyard, he had the time of his life! He can easily live with teens and adults who can make the commitment to continuing Dylan's training. He's still all puppy, bursting with energy and jumping up on people. Dylan is housebroken, crate-trained, and while he's lived with a female dog previously, but he is not a dog park or doggie daycare king of dog. He is very healthy, neutered, fecal-tested and dewormed, up-to-date on rabies, distemper, leptospirosis, and bordetella vaccines, microchipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $275 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes complete with absolutely everything you need to care for him. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Dylan, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting [email protected] to make an appointment to meet him. He is currently being fostered in Chicago.
