Courtesy Posting: BALDWIN PARK, CA (SO CAL) ID #A5710648 - LOS ANGELES COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES- approx. 7 month female chow puppy 'SALLY is now ADOPTABLE, or NEEDS A FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP TO SAVE! Shelter is full and euthanizing adoptable dogs for space, so she may not have long! This adorable girl has been fondly named 'Sally' by the shelter, and weighs 37 lbs already, so she may be a bit older than her estimated age of 7 months, or may be slightly bigger when she is an adult. Found as a stray, Sally sadly was dumped and ended up at a high kill shelter where she will become urgent soon. The shelter found no medical issues during an exam and said she was 'easy to exam' (but of course, initially nervous and scared, understandably, as is typical of the breed). Sally was just spayed and is ready to go a home, ideally one who is chow savvy and or very familiar with the breed as chows should be properly and well socialized. If you can provide a loving and forever home, to adopt directly from the shelter, please call (626) 962-3577and or go in person during business hours to save her. Please do not adopt a puppy though unless you intend to have her as a pet for her entire life- and also understand the chow breed. If you rent, please always check with your landlord and receive written permission as some may not allow chows, and also take into consideration a future landlord may not. This is her listing link: https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/dacc-details/?animalId=A5710648 If you may be interested in fostering, fostering to adopt, or helping in some other way (ie., pledging for her rescue), please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement asap, and we can try to pair fosters or interested parties with a willing rescue group. Rescue groups need fosters to save. Interested rescue groups may contact the shelter directly at: [email protected] and by calling (626)962-3577 and providing his ID. Since she is adoptable, please note he does not require an partnered rescue.
