URGENT - DEADLINE JULY 16 @ 4PM Vanessa (A275773) Vanessa is a beautiful 9-year-old, 60 lb spayed German Shepherd who came to Pinal County Animal Care and Control in July 2024 as a stray with her sister. Tragically, her sister passed away from bladder cancer, and since then, Vanessa has become deeply depressed in her kennel. The loss has made her more reserved around new people, but with time, patience, and a gentle heart, she will open up and show you the loyal companion she truly is. Vanessa is housebroken, crate trained, and not destructive when left alone indoors. She has done well in meet-and-greets with both large and small dogs, but a slow, respectful introduction to new canine friends is recommended. She should go to a home without cats and would thrive in a calm, low-traffic environment where she can feel secure. During busy events or gatherings, Vanessa does best if she can rest in a crate or quiet space. She has endured a lot of heartache and is now at risk of euthanasia if not adopted, fostered, or rescued by July 16th at 4PM. Vanessa just needs someone willing to see beyond her sadness and give her the chance to feel safe and loved again. Pinal County Animal Care and Control %BD%BD%BD%BD 1150 S.
