Katie came into rescue when her energy and 'yorkie-tude' proved to be too much for her elderly owners. Katie is a spirited girl who just wants to be by your side. She is sweet, playful, and loves to give kisses. If you are working in the yard or kitchen, Katie will be around to see what you are doing. If you are relaxing on the sofa, she'll lay down and chill out with you. Katie loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. She even stops to greet everyone she meets and is always up for a car ride. She eats and sleeps well but has a chicken allergy. Katie does have a mischievous side. She will jump onto chairs and tables and desks and will run off with her discovered treasures. She will also resource guard those treasures. Because Katie always wants to go somewhere, she will try to dash out the door whenever it opens. Katie would do best in a home with a Yorkie savvy person who is home often. She is okay with other animals but would prefer to be your one and only, so she gets all the attention. Due to her resource guarding, a home with young children is not advised. A calm, quiet environment would be ideal for Katie. Katie Cupcake is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. SHE is being fostered in Grove City, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $350.00.
