About Chip

You couldn't ask for a better companion than Chip. We adopted him when he was just a puppy, and he has been a deeply loved member of our family for almost 7 years. He's brought us so much joy and helped us get through some really tough times. Of course, life circumstances change. We recently had a child, and we have another on the way. We've been trying for the last couple years to find ways to make it work but children really do change everything. We just can't give him the same time, love, and attention he once had, and it's been hard for us and him to adjust to that. He really is a special dog. When it's playtime he will get super excited and bolt full speed all over the yard. On the flip side, whenever we've felt under the weather, he will happily cuddle and nap in bed with you all day. He has the amazing ability to know what you need when you need it. He loves showing love and being loved. He's a healthy boy and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. He always does great at the groomers and at the vet. One area where he can get a little feisty is when he is being protective. Since the pandemic, he started having anxiety around new people. He's growled and been a little snippy at times, but we haven't had any serious incidents. Deciding to rehome him has been one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make. It's hard just to write this post knowing how much we are going to miss him, so we want to make sure he's going to a wonderful home.
