We're looking to rehome Toby, a 9-month-old German Shepherd puppy, to a safe, experienced, and committed home. Toby came to us at only 8-weeks old, unexpectedly after being given away, and although we've tried to help him, he needs more than we're able to give. Toby is intelligent, energetic, and strong, but also needs serious training, structure, and someone who understands working breeds. He's shown aggression toward our older dog, and due to his size and behavior, we're concerned about the safety of everyone involved, including Toby. What to Know About Toby: %BD' 9 months old %BD' Male German Shepherd %BD' Not neutered or microchipped %BD' Up to date on vaccines %BD' Knows 'sit' and 'come' %BD' Crate trained (but becomes territorial when confined) %BD' Has NOT been around kids or cats, so we don't know how he'd react %BD' High-energy, food-motivated, and needs a job or consistent outlet %BD' Recently saw the vet (needed sedation for a nail trim) Toby is NOT a good fit for first-time dog owners. He needs someone with real experience handling strong, reactive, or working-breed dogs. He needs time, patience, and training. But in the right hands, he'll be a loyal, loving companion. He wants to be a good boy, but needs the proper training. Aggressive behaviors don't start until late afternoon. We're sharing this out of love and honesty. We don't want to see him end up in the wrong hands or a shelter. If you're interested or know a rescue who might help, please reach out ASAP.
