BASIC FACTS Breed: Norfolk Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier Mix (according to our breed identifying app) Color: White Age: 7 months (DOB approx 12/1/24) Gender: Male, neutered Size: small, 9 pounds House-trained: mostly Crate trained: Yes Good with Kids: Casper LOVES children, seeks them out, and is very gentle with them Good with Dogs: Yes, and accepts correction from his old cantankerous foster brother Good with Cats: Yes, defers to the resident cat Concerns: A little skittish when he meets adults, but not at all aggressive. Did need to be muzzled in a large veterinary clinic situation BIOGRAPHY Meet Casper! Casper came into rescue after being dumped on the side of the road in York, PA. He is a typical 7-month-old puppy, learning about the world, getting Zoomies, and entertaining everyone! Casper needs adults to sit beside him and give him a minute but then he is a very affectionate and loving companion and friend. Look at that smile! It's always there! Casper loves little people - he will hear a child's voice and immediately try to figure out where they are. He will dance on his hind legs and although he will put his front paws on a child, he is very gentle and doesn't knock little ones over �٪�. He gets along great with all the dogs he meets, but he really seems to prefer being with his person. In the home, he is a Velcro dog. Casper wants to go with you wherever you go, so you do need to be sure his environment is secure when you go out or he is in a crate. He is NOT destructive, does not chew furniture, shoes, etc, he's past that stage. He's a happy dog, who loves to go out and knows what to do when he's out there although he still has an occasional accident. We are working on that, but he does sleep through the night in his crate with no issues. He is starting to play with the toys in his foster home (only been there 4 days) and seems to prefer the bouncy ones - a small Kong, small rubber balls, etc. Casper is an all-around wonderful companion, smart and attentive, looking for a home that will help him 'puppy' and that hopefully has a resident child or frequent little visitors or neighbors. Casper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is being fostered in Philadelphia, PA and is available for an adoption fee of $650.00.
