A 3/4 Dane, 1/4 Cane Corso mix, she's the perfect blend of gentle giant and eager-to-please sidekick. Though her early days lacked the comfort of a safe home and socialization, Delaney is making up for lost time-and what a joy it is to watch her grow. This sweet girl is incredibly loyal and adores her humans-once you've earned her trust, you'll have a forever shadow. She'll follow you from room to room, quietly supervising chores, offering her soft presence as encouragement, and waiting patiently for a cuddle or treat (which she takes with the utmost gentleness). Snuggles are her specialty, especially if a cozy bed or couch is involved. Delaney has a moderate energy level and enjoys daily walks, exploring the backyard, or quietly observing the world around her. She's very treat motivated and is already mastering basic commands with ease-she's one smart cookie! She's crate trained, does well in the car, and is working hard on her potty training. While still shy with strangers and unfamiliar situations, Delaney's confidence is blossoming more each day. She prefers slow introductions and a little space at first, but given time and patience, she'll warm up and win you over with her quiet charm. She loves her canine foster sister and would thrive with a calm, confident dog companion to show her the ropes. She also coexists peacefully with cats (though she occasionally tries to turn them into playmates). Delaney has met children as young as two, and while she did warm up with time, she'd do best in a home with older, respectful kids (8+) who understand how to give her space and let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Her ideal home? One filled with kindness, patience, and gentle guidance. A family who will help her continue to grow socially, go on daily walks, and provide her with the soft landings and routines she never had as a young pup.
