She had been quietly waiting in the back of the shelter, taken off public view, cleared for euthanasia. Still wagging her tail. Still believing someone would come for her. And someone did. Jennifer with Pumpkin Pawz Rescue couldn't let her die. On her very last day, Katy was pulled from the shelter. Saved by the slimmest thread of hope. Now she's safe,but only for a moment. Katy is currently in boarding, and while she's grateful and safe for now, this is not a forever solution. Boarding is expensive, stressful, and not where this sweet girl belongs. We're urgently looking for a foster or adopter. We gave her another chance at life. Now she needs a place to rest, heal, and finally feel what it means to be loved. Katy is just 1 year and 7 months old, 60 lbs, and believed to be a Lab/Pit mix. She's gentle, calm, loving, and non-reactive with other dogs. She was found going from car to car in Moreno Valley, just trying to find someone to love her. Even after all she's been through, she still trusts. She still hopes.
