About Little Bean

On June 12, 46 dogs were saved from a 'rescue' in Patrick County where they were living in crates and outdoor kennels and not being properly cared for. As you know we have a special place in our hearts for Patrick County Public Animal Shelter and were able to help them by taking six of the dogs into our program! Meet Little Bean, the first one ready for adoption! Bean is a 20 pound, mixed breed fella who is guessed to be about 10-12 months old. Bean is a bright little guy who is food motivated and ready to learn! He is learning how to walk on leash and is now housetrained but will need someone who understands that Bean did not come from a normal environment and will need basic training and time to adjust. Bean adores soaking up all the attention from both humans and other dogs. A fenced in yard and at least one canine companion will make Bean a very happy boy! Bean is a lucky little guy and is ready to start the search for his furEVER home! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
