About Oden

Meet Oden, our gentle giant Akita! Though he is a higher energy breed, he has formed his own personality and doesn't blend in with all the others. Oden is only 4 years old, though he sometimes acts like he is an old man. He does have his moments of jumping up to say hello but for the most part he is very relaxed and likes to just chill out in the grass or inside with an AC. Oden has been an inside dog for most of his life, which has helped settle him down immensely he is very laid back, which isn't typical for his breed. He is a leaner for sure, he loves to sit by you or on you and get lots of snuggles and attention, belly rubs are his favorite. Oden doesn't have any issues digging or chewing on things, he is very respectful and trustworthy. He doesn't do a lot of barking and he doesn't whine at all regardless of if he is in the kennel or in the yard, he is a very quiet, peaceful guy. Oden prefers to lay in his bed directly in front of the fan for nap time to cool down as he does have very thick fur and lots of it! He likes to soak his feet in the pool, and he LOVES car rides, he's an awesome passenger. With time Oden has come around with our other rescue dogs and settled down, but he would also do well as an only dog as he was by himself previously. Oden is an absolute sweetheart and needs a family with time and love to give! He is fully vetted and ready to find his forever family, we hope to see you soon!
