About Mickey

Five years ago, I adopted Mickey from a chihuahua rescue, and in that time, he has brought endless love and companionship into my life. Mickey is a sweet, affectionate little dog who loves to cuddle, nap in sunbeams, and be near his person. However, I've recently entered a long-term relationship and Mickey has been struggling to adjust. He's not comfortable around my partner and has shown signs of stress since we began living together. I believe Mickey would thrive in a quieter home-ideally with a single woman-where he can feel secure and be the center of someone's world again. Mickey does great with other chihuahuas and would likely enjoy having a small dog companion. He's also shown kindness toward a small child he met, so a calm home with visiting children could be a good fit. This decision has been incredibly difficult, and I'm only looking to rehome Mickey because I want him to be truly happy and at peace.
