About Cane

Meet Cane - A Loyal Companion Looking for the Right Home Cane is a 7-year-old Catahoula mix with a big heart and strong protective instincts. He's been a beloved part of our family, but with the recent arrival of our baby and other household changes, Cane has struggled to adjust. We've seen increased reactivity, especially around our other dog, my husband, and the baby, and he has had a couple of biting incidents. Because of this, we are seeking an urgent rehoming situation with no children or other pets. Cane would thrive in a calm, structured environment with someone experienced in handling dogs with behavioral needs. He's loyal, smart, and deeply bonds with his person. He just needs the right setting to feel safe and understood. This is not a decision we take lightly, and our hope is to find Cane a second chance in a home where he can succeed. If we're unable to rehome him, we may be forced to make an incredibly difficult decision in the interest of our child's safety.
