About Artemis

This is Artemis, an extremely sweet cuddlebear who unfortunately has been displaying some behavioral issues the past 8 months that no amount of vet visits, medicines, diet changes, or litter box changes have solved. We moved from Missouri to Virginia in November and since then she's become increasingly anxious, skittish, and 9 times out of 10 uses the bathroom outside of the litter box. Medically she's healthy, mentally she's not. Despite trying my best to put her in a happy and loving home she defecates daily on the carpets and floors, and I fear that she's unhappy. She does not get along well with my older cat and they're constantly fighting, though Artemis is NOT the aggressor, she's a playful cuddler who tries to get my older cat to play and my other cat simply will not. Artemis has also been more pushy with eating the other cat's food, despite them both being a healthy weight and fed well both dry and wet food, I think Artemis suffers from anxious eating. We live in a noisy apartment complex and my move gained me a roommate and that hasn't helped Artemis at all. She's so sweet and cuddly but after many months of attempting different changes nothing has worked for the better, and I've made the difficult decision to rehome her. I think she would do better in a home with more playful cats and with an actual home with much more space. She does well with other cats and people, but her behavioral changes haven't gotten better and I'd rather her go to a good home that might be better suited for her than remain with me when I'm so clearly not able to give her what she needs.
