Found as a stray. I'm a very timid girl, and this shelter life has been overwhelming for me. I move slowly, cautiously-just trying to make sense of everything around me. I flinch at unexpected noises and fast movements can startle me, but if you go slow, give me space, and speak gently, I start to relax. I'll allow gentle pets once I feel safe as I'm sensitive to touch and still figuring out how to be brave. When we walk if you take the lead, I follow right behind like a dream-quiet, calm, and focused on you. I've walked past other dogs without a fuss. I just want a peaceful place and someone patient enough to help me come out of my shell. If you can offer me kindness and time, I'll offer you my trust. I'm scared, but I want to believe there's something better waiting for me outside these walls
