Meet Delilah - A Loyal Companion Looking for Her Forever Home Delilah is a beautiful, loving dog who has been part of our family for eleven years. Our household is now going through a major transition as the primary caregiver recently got married and is expecting a baby; and with great difficulty and care, we've come to the decision that it's time to find Delilah a new home where she can thrive. Delilah's favorite hobbies include chasing and playing with balls as she is quite fast! Swimming is something she does not get to do often, but she loves jumping into a pool to get a ball! She loves herself a good chew toy or bone and loves to greet you with it whenever you come home. Delilah lives to cuddle and enjoys her scratches even more than any tasty treat. About Delilah: 'ۢ Name: Delilah 'ۢ Age: Approx. 11 years old 'ۢ Breed: Pitbull 'ۢ Spayed: Yes 'ۢ Weight: 60 lbs 'ۢ Trained: Yes - Delilah completed a two-week board-and-train program and responded incredibly well. With continued reinforcement and structure, she flourishes. 'ۢ Personality: Loyal, affectionate, intelligent, and eager to please. She loves people and bonds deeply with her person. 'ۢ Energy Level: Moderate. She enjoys walks and playtime, but also loves lounging and cuddling. Ideal Home: Delilah would do best in a home where she is the only pet, as she tends to be uncomfortable and reactive around other dogs. She needs a home with a consistent routine and someone who can provide confident leadership and structure. She is not a candidate for a home with small children due to her reactivity and the need for focused training. Why We're Rehoming: Unfortunately, Delilah cannot integrate into a new home due to her incompatibility with other dogs and the safety considerations of having a newborn. The co-caregiver, who originally took her in, is unable to take over full-time care due to his demanding hospital schedule. We've exhausted our options and are now hoping to find a compassionate, committed person who can give Delilah the life she deserves. The Good News: We're willing to cover the cost of re-enrolling her in the board-and-train program she previously completed, to help set her (and her new owner) up for success. She responds incredibly well to structure and professional training and deserves a fresh start in a home that can meet her needs long-term. If You're Interested: Please reach out if you think you might be the right match for Delilah or know someone who could be. We are not looking to surrender her to a shelter - she's a loving dog who simply needs the right environment, and we are committed to finding that for her.
