About Benji

ONLY CAT ALERT Benji is a beautiful, 5-year-old Bengal cat who found as a stray by a member of the community. She took him to a local Veterinary office to scan him for a microchip, and sadly he didn't have one. This kind individual reached out to our PNW Foster Coordinator and we brought him into Bengal Rescue's program, under the care of one of our loving foster families. Our foster tells us that Benji has a wonderful disposition! With people, of course. He's not a fan of the resident cats and would love to find a home where he can rule the roost! He's had to be kept separate from the other felines, and that's a downer - he definitely wants a home where he can have access to EVERYTHING. Kids? Yes! Benji does great with our foster's children - 11 and 13-year's old. He would make a fantastic companion for a family with kids who are well-versed in proper handling and in securing perimeter doors. Other Cats? No. Dogs? No. Benji loves being around his humans and readily accepts belly rubs, petting, and warm laps to snooze on. Benji is a SUPER affectionate guy with a sweet disposition. He's an expert at making biscuits, chasing feather toys, and he's quite the foodie! Benji's activity level is MODERATE. He's not TOO much, and he's not too little when it comes to his energy level. Like most Bengals, he'll readily accept as much stimulation as you're willing / able to offer. He's definitely not demanding, which is a very desirable quality for most potential Bengal adopters. Benji is a wonderful conversationalist. He isn't overly LOUD - however he does love to chat with his humans about his day, what you're up to, and sometimes has some very interesting philosophical 'deep thoughts.' He is good at giving feedback, such as 'Hey hooman??? Why am I in a carrier????' (On the way to the Vet) Another thing we love about Benji is that he's a really enthusiastic eater. He isn't overly picky and he does enjoy trying different things. He's currently eating Fancy Feast wet food (chicken and beef formulas), as well as a supplement of Hills / Science Diet digestion dry food. Benji is great with his litter box; his foster actually said 'perfect litter box habits.' Benji has never scratched or bitten anyone in the home. He is a total gentleman. Benji received a Veterinary physical (healthy!), he is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Benji was tested for FeLV / FIV and tested negative for both. He's a very solid guy overall and just wants a loving home to call his own. Benji's foster family absolutely adores him! If only he could tolerate living with other cats (he cannot).
