Ghost was found on the border of Indiana on a residential highway by my sister's neighborhood. Her next door neighbor (who was the one who found him) could not find his original owner as they checked for a chip, many vet clinics, and all social media platforms. She was unable to take care of him since she already had her own puppy who they just adopted and didn't have shots for so they were keeping him in their garage/ in their backyard. Her neighbor felt bad so she asked my sister if she knew anyone who could watch him for a day or two to buy her more time to find his original owner. That was March 2nd. It has now been a month and a week since we have been taking care of him. We love him dearly but we are not allowed to have dogs in our apartment. Not only that we have a small apartment with no back yard. We are now trying to rehome him to a loving family since he is a good dog but are unable to find anyone who would be up to par for him. Getting to know Ghost! Ghost is probably the most beautiful dog I have laid eyes on. His sharp cutting blue eyes, his soft rabbit like fur, and his white, black, and tan spots that speckle over him are stunning. But his personality makes him who he is. Ghost is like living with another human in the house. You know exactly what he is thinking. His expressions are like none other and he is very easy to read. Which makes it easier for new owners. I can always tell when he is happy, tired, needs to go potty, hungry, upset, being playful, mischievous. But don't take mischievous as a bad quality. He is quite funny because he knows what he is doing but he looks at you while he's doing it because he wants cuddles or wants to play! BUT be mindful he will get into things if you don't stimulate him. Ghost is an extremely active dog. LOVES to run, loves to hop when he runs, good with other dogs in dog parks (if other dogs are aggressive he will become aggressive), picking up sticks on his walks and flipping them around, you name it! But because he is so active doesn't mean he doesn't love cuddles! He will cuddle to your face when you get into bed and try to get as close as he possibly can to you. Ghost is also extremely smart and easy to work with. Training has been a breeze. Ghost is also non aggressive with other dogs but gets aggressive with people. Walking him around Wrigleyville there are a lot of other dogs who will bark, lunge and become aggressive on their leash, he does not. He will stare at them, try to sniff, and continue to walk. Ghost is not ok with people though. There have been situations where drunk people have lunged at him after saying they can't let him do he becomes defensive. If ghost knows you he will allow us to wipe his paws, picking him up, and putting him in the tub to wash him off if he gets muddy. He has never shown signs of aggression towards us or bitten us aggressively. Keep in mind that does not mean he hasn't. When he plays he will put his mouth on you but not bite down hard. Qualities list Smart Cuddle bug Good with dogs as long as other dogs are non aggressive Great personality Always interested in what you are doing Very playful Extremely active Things to know Not chipped Has shots Neutered Will nip at ankles and feet (working dog) sheds trainable Needs a lot of space (backyard) Needs a lot of stimulus Barks a lot Don't know how he acts around kids. He gets aggressive when people walk up to you while walking. Situation that happened: we were walking him around the block and multiple intoxicated people wanted to pet him, we told them no and they still lunged at him. He now gets aggressive when there are people standing in front of bars smoking.
