Meet Bennett, a 4.5 to 6-year-old, 10-pound sweetheart with a constant smile and a heart full of love. Bennett was rescued from the euthanasia list at CAP shelter due to reported dental issues, which turned out to be much less severe than expected. Since arriving in foster care, he's proven to be a gentle, affectionate, and happy little guy who's just grateful for a second chance. He's doing great with potty habits and now uses the pet door to go outside on his own. Before learning the pet door, he did well with regular daytime potty breaks and wore a belly band at night, which he no longer needs. He sleeps in a cozy dog bed beside his foster's bed but would likely love curling up in bed with his person if allowed. Bennett is friendly with other dogs and he hasn't shown much interest in the cats. He hasn't been around children in his foster home, but his gentle and easygoing personality suggests he would do well with respectful kids. He enjoys lounging on the couch and soaking up cuddles. He walks okay on a leash and is continuing to practice. Grooming has gone well so far. He had a few knots that needed to be trimmed when he arrived and has been handling brushing without fuss. Bennett is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Bennett is located in Santa Fe, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt: www.tpsrescue.com
