About Sheba

Sheba is a great family dog. She plays with my daughter who is 8 and her other friends. She just loves attention. She gets groomed when necessary and has been doing better as it wasn't her favorite thing at first. She is obsessed with squeaker balls and love fetch. She is pretty treat driven. She doesn't have a super high prey drive and has a decent recall. We go on walks where we see deer and other animals and she's done well. We also have chickens who she regularly goes to say hi and is started to understand to not be so high energy around them. She is a rescue and was meant for my mom but unfortunately my mother broke both her arms and just can not take care of her. We took Sheba in until we can find her a good home. She is leash trained and knows basic commands like sit and stay. She knows not to bolt out of the backyard and wait until we call her out to come. She is very playful and not your average German shepherd as she can be a little skittish. She loves car rides and just being next to anyone who will give her lovies. She is not a fan of water but has gotten better drinking from a hose and slowly being introduced to splashing water being fun lol She would do really well with a family with kids or even a family with other friendly dogs. I haven't had her meet other big females like herself but she goes to doggy day camp for play every now and then and she does good there. She goes on two walks a day and has a huge area to roam and play. I am pregnant though and we will be moving overseas soon so I would really like to get her situated with a good family as we have the time to make sure of that.
