(willing to drive up to 50 MILES ). 1.5 Y/O MALE SHEPHERD/AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD (DOB: 1/27/24). His name is ' REESE CUP'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Reese Cup for about 1 year. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids, PLEASE READ BELOW. Good with dogs, shows dominance/barks, but no known aggression. UNKNOWN with cats. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?:NO . HIGH ENERGY?: YES. HIGH PREY DRIVE?: UNKNOWN. Currently on PURINA ADULT food. Weighs 80 lbs. Good with car rides?: NO, GETS CAR SICK. Loves: belly rubs - chilling on the couch - balls - chew bones - playing fetch - sleeping in bed with his person - being near his person.. Socialized with other dogs and/or people?: NO. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): YES . *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: YES . *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH):UNKNOWN . *Good on a Leash?: UNKNOWN. *Lovable?: YES . *Eager and fast learner?: YES. This is a heartbreaking situation. Reese Cup is a great boy, he is still in the Puppy Phase, and just wants to be a normal guy and play, but now has Abuse Trauma . The Current Shepherd Parent was fostering a 12 y/o girl and this foster child was hitting, beating and choking Reese Cup. The Current Shepherd Parent said that child is no longer in the home, but the Abuse Trauma is real. Reece Cup eventually bit that child (yay, sorry, not sorry). Re Homing because�'�|: the Current Shepherd Parent has other kids in the home and because the one foster child abused Reese Cup, they are afraid that he may take it out on the other kids as well. Reese cup needs his Furever Home ASAP.. Will thrive best�'�|?: Someone who is kind, loving and patient that can help Reese Cup work through his Abuse Trauma and show him only Love and Happiness. Because of the abuse by a child, Reese Cup needs to be in a home with NO kids. He is very uneasy around them now (of course) and shakes (heartbreaking). We need Reese Cup to be able to thrive and NOT have kids in the home. Reese Cup also needs someone who understands that because of Abuse Trauma, he may have triggers that will have to be learned/worked through and avoided, if possible.
