About Nina

Meet Nina !! This beautiful and laid back lady is ready for a great new home. Kid friendly and sweet girl. Nina is an approx 2 year old, female, Husky mix. She weighs 49 pounds and is full grown. She is already spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is thankfully heartworm negative. This sweet girl really loves people. She loves to be with you, following you around and doing anything you are doing. She gets very attached to her family and will be a very loving and loyal dog. Nina is fairly well trained. She is potty trained, does good on car rides and is mostly leash trained. She pulls at times when she's excited but mostly does well. She has also done very well with crate training. She only has a medium energy level with burst of excitement and play but mostly laid back. She enjoys squeaky toys and playing ball. She will go outside and potty and want to come back in and cuddle. She gives hugs and handshakes and a game of fetch here and there. Her previous owner had several children and Nina is said to do very well with them. She is not fostered with cats here but her previous owner had cats and said she did fine with them. Nina is okay with other dogs but she really isn't a dog that wants to play with them. She can be very nippy and vocal at first with dogs that get in her face etc. She has no trouble co existing with other dogs that aren't up in her personal space. She really just prefers to hang with her people vs playing with other dogs. She has not had any issues so far with sharing food, treats or toys with humans or other dogs. She was also very well behaved for the vet. So far she has not been very vocal as a husky normally would be. Nina has the traditional husky shedding. She needs to be brushed and will shed out her undercoat at least once a year. If you cannot handle lots of hair around the house then she's not the right one for you. Vet and home checks required.
