About Kona

Kona is a stunning German Shepherd Husky mix with a big heart and playful spirit. She's a quick learner and eager to please, especially if treats are involved. She's highly food motivated! Kona is a fantastic companion for other dogs, as she's calm and balanced around them, not overly hyper. She enjoys a good play session but also knows how to relax and take it easy around dogs that don't want to play. However, her ultimate dream is to be in a home with another young dog who will romp around with her all day long. She just LOVES to play. She is fully crate trained and has no separation anxiety. She knows that her crate is her place to be calm and sleep. With training, Kona knows the following: sit, down, come (her recall is so good!!!), wait, and look. Her recall has gotten so good that she's a breeze to take to off leash areas like dog beach - which is one of her favorite places to go! She walks well on leash and does great when dogs approach her, even if she's on leash and other dogs are off leash! When it comes to people, Kona is sweet and welcoming. She absolutely lights up when meeting new people and is always ready to shower them with love and kisses. She loves to run between your legs and get head scratches. This sweet girl is looking for a family who will cherish her, take her on adventures, provide her with a loving home where she can thrive.
