AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption. All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting adoption applications for Presley. Presley was released from a local breeder. She is approximately 15# and is a Red, Miniature Poodle. Presley is 2 years of age, with a DOB of 04.17.2023. Presley will complete her final vetting on 07.09.2025, at which time she will be available for adoption. Presley will be a great family member. She is doing well at keeping her night time crate clean and dry. She does have access to the outdoors by day. Presley does well with other dogs and is indifferent to cats. She does amazing with children and adults. As a general rule, we state that all of our fosters are not house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. We are looking for a family in which one or more family members work from home, or are retired. Presley is looking for a family that can give her the time, love, and cuddles that she deserves to acclimate to her new family, surroundings and routine.
