Tracy is a very small former stray cat who was living around our house with her best friend and protector Julian, a large neutered male cat we suspected was her sibling or son. We had been feeding them for a couple of years when Julian disappeared last winter. Sadly, we can only assume he passed away. Out of fear Tracy wouldn't make it, we took her in. Over time she became comfortable with us and quickly learned to use a littler box. She is a super sweet and docile cat who can be quite timid when afraid. She is happiest when she is in the same room with a person as she feels protected. That is when you see her personality come out. We love Tracy but unfortunately already have two young cats who do not like her and who are aggressive toward her. We try to keep them separated but after many months of hoping for them to get along, nothing has changed and it is causing all of the cats a lot of stress and unhappiness. Tracy is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. She does have hyperthyroidism which is treated with an ointment applied to the inside of her ear once a day. She has only been on the medication for about a month and she is still quite thin and tends to yowl loudly when hungry or lonely, though as soon as you give her some love and attention she completely stops. We don't know why, but she cannot jump like a normal cat - probably one of the reasons she feels so vulnerable. This sweet adorable cat deserves a forever home where she can feel safe and loved. She is happiest when given a lot of attention, so a house where someone is home throughout the day would be the best fit for her. Though she did have a best friend/protector cat and it would be wonderful for her to bond with another cat, it is probably a safer bet for her to be in a household with no other pets. On the other hand, if it's a perfect fit, a house with friendly and gentle pets could be a wonderful environment for her to thrive in.
