Meet Clementine. She was part of a hoarding case from an elderly man who had stage 4 lung cancer. She lived outside in a kennel her whole life having accidental litter after litter. She's a very calm, low energy girl who loves to cuddle on the couch. She is slow to adjust being in a home since she was kept outside her whole life and feels like that's where she belongs. But once she feels comfortable, her favorite spot is cuddling on the couch. But every day she was with the foster, you could see her confidence grow and start to learn that she deserves to be inside. She initially went to a boarding facility until a foster was found but after 3 weeks, the foster could no longer foster her due to a change in her work schedule. She is currently back at the boarding facility while we find a committed foster for her. She is already fully vetted. She is dog friendly, however enjoys her own space and is happiest around dogs who respect her boundaries. She gives normal social cues to disrespectful dogs/puppies. She is extremely intelligent and often independent, but a big love bug when she warms up. She does have severe storm/thunder/fireworks anxiety (She pants, walks around, will climb into your lap and shake) but responds well to diphenhydramine given prior to the noise. I just hate seeing her live her senior years like that and was curious if there was an amazing home you might be able to find her. Thank you for choosing rescue. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BY EMAIL OR PHONE TO TELL US YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Clementine. We are all volunteers and we cannot move forward without your application. If you would like to be considered to adopt her go to our website and fill out an application. www.sunnypawsrescue.org.
