Rodrigo is an adorable and personable, four-year-old, male black and tan neutered smooth coat guinea pig looking for a loving guardian. Rodrigo was relinquished as a single guinea pig a few years ago, and Friends of Petraits Rescue had him neutered so he can live happily ever after either with a female or male companion. He was adopted and lived with an older female companion who he loved, but she passed away. His family is now moving out of the country and sadly, he can't come with. He would love a caring home with people who will handle him, keep him well-fed, nails trimmed, and his habitat nice and clean. He'd love another female companion to share his life with. He has a healthy appetite and eats unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, a cup of fresh salad each day and an 1/8 cup of pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which he gets from his pellets, a 1-inch square of red pepper, some of his dark leafy greens, or a vitamin C cookie. Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent web site http://www.guinealynx.info/ If you're interested in meeting and possibly adopting Rodrigo please fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting [email protected] His adoption fee of $50 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $50, we'll include a kit of absolutely everything you need to care for him including habitat, pellets, hay, hidey hut, and water bottle. He is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
