It is with great sadness that I place my Belgian Malinois puppy up for adoption. He is a beautiful, healthy 5-month-old puppy. I have MS and my condition is getting worse. He is very attached to me and feels he must protect me. He growls and snaps at anyone who approaches me. I have to hold him back on his leash and I am worried that I will fall because of my balance. I crate him when people come to the house. Recently, he started snapping at my other dogs if they are near me. I am concerned that he may hurt them. He is definitely not living his best life. I have owned 12 dogs and have never experienced this type of behavior. My concern is my balance, which admittedly has gotten worse. He follows me everywhere and has become a trip hazard. He is learning to walk on a leash, and is very trainable. He has basic commands down pat. I am home so I am able to work on training several times a day. I am hoping to find someone who is a strong leader understands the breed. We live on 10 acres so he gets plenty of exercise. He would make a great addition to a police dept.
