About Smokey

'Smokey' was rescued by us from South Louisiana after she was dumped at a business. Smokey eventually became very dominant over our older dog who is not submissive. They have ended up in fights where we had problems pulling Smokey off. Smokey have never been aggressive to people, she loves people and will climb on our laps. We HATE to give her up, but the two dogs will fight and trying to keep them in separate parts of the house and yard has all eventually failed. She can climb an 8 foot fence, easily jump over a chain link like it is nothing so she sits in our house all day when we are at work. She plays well with our neighbor's shepherd but we can not take the chance that she will decide to be dominant over something. Smokey will chase a ball all day for you and needs someone who can take time with her and play with her. She is easily trainable and is treat motivated. I will not give her to anyone; I would like references from your veterinarian. She would be better suited to someone with time for her alone and to work out her high energy level.
