About Brittney

Brittney is a boxer/pitbull mix around 5 years old. She is great with my children 3+, she loves to snuggle and sleep in bed with her humans. I had only taken her in because she needed a home quickly or she would have been surrendered back to the shelter. I did not know much about her, I was told she is good with cats BUT she is not good with my scared cat. She strongly senses emotions so if something is scared of her, she wants to go after it. She would be compatible with a VERY submissive dog or no dog. She would prefer someone that is home for long periods of time, like a work from home job She is a leash puller, I think she was raised in a fenced in area (sadly, only used to breed) and never trained to walk properly on a leash. We are consistently working on that but she is very strong and I don't recommend children or elderly hold her leash for that reason. She is muzzle trained and currently working on reintroducing a crate to her. She's timid when she isn't familiar with her surroundings (like if something falls on the floor, she gets scared) but once she warms up she's good. She is scared of bath time so she has to be lifted into the tub Great with nail clippings and no known allergies.
