About Bootsie

Ever wanted to adopt a pogo stick with fur and a heart of gold? We are happy to introduce you to BOOTSIE! Bootsie is a 1-year-old Lab mix with springs in her feet, a sparkle in her eye, and zero concept of personal space. Bootsie is looking for a best friend who appreciates a little mischief, a lot of love, and a dog who brings maximum enthusiasm to absolutely everything - including nap time. Bootsie arrived at WCAS as a stray, so we do not have any history of what her background was like. However, she's currently thriving in a loving foster home where we've learned a few things about her! Bootsie is great with cats and has done well with other dogs - particularly males. She would do best in a home with a respectful male dog companion who can understand that she is, in fact, the queen. Bootsie listens well inside the home, but can get distracted when she's out on walks - there's just so much to see and smell! She is currently working on her leash manners, as well as crate training. Her foster reports she's improving each day and responds well to routine and positive reinforcement. Bootsie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and given a flea and tick preventative as well as a heartworm preventive.
