I'm heart felt to have to do this but a situation prompted it. Louie is a 3 yr old, male, neutered, UTD on shots, Australian Shepherd with a tail. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky from a MINI mom and dad and the other 4 siblings are minis. Louie is full grown at 47 lbs. He loves his crate and likes being crated alll night and when you are gone. He's also a typical Aussie herder. Louie is a quick learner and loves to please. If course he works for treats but will work for a rub on the ear if you're out of treats. He knows many commands and is eager to learn more. Louie bonds to one and will be your velcro sweetie as soon as he realizes that you belong in the 'pack', a typical Aussie mo. He's not a furniture eater, he prefers his nylabones. I'm older and had to move to an apartment. Louie needs more space to run than I can give him. One day a man in the apartment complex put his hand over the 4' apartment dog fence right after his dog and Louie had a barking fest between the fense. Louie nipped him. Them man reported Louie to the apartments and they gave me 24 hrs to hours to evacuate Louie from the premises for good, they also reported him to the police. I quarantined Louie for 10 days, as instructed. Louie never showed any signs of rabies. There has been no communication with the man since. I'm heartbroken to have to rehome him but I know he needs more than what I can offer him now. I can't move and can't keep my boy. He is currently with a friend on a temporary basis in an apartment. I'm looking for a strong leader to adopt Louie. Someone who will work with him, play with him, keep him healthy and happy. Please, if you know of anyone with Australian Shepard experience, please forward my information. I'm always open to answer questions.
