About Romeo

Romeo is as lovely as his name implies, and just like his famous namesake, he's looking for his Juliet match! This sweet 4-5 year old boy weighs 90 lbs of pure love. He's the definition of a gentle giant-easygoing, low maintenance, and simply perfect. Skip the google search...this boy is the opposite of what his breed online may suggest. We could go on and on about all the amazing qualities he has. Seriously. He's gentle and slow moving. No matter who you are, once you start petting him, he melts into your side and will lean against you or paws at you for more. He adores attention, treats and when youre on the sofa, he will lay his head gently on your arm or leg. Or he'll lay by your feet to keep you warm. With that said, he's not clingy either. He has zero separation anxiety and is a well rounded and great dog, even for first time dog owners. He can be crated but doesn't need to be. He can be and is left at home free range while you go about errands or at work. He celebrates your return home with the greatest wiggle butt and he even sings! We've never heard him bark but when he gets excited, he'll give a quick and quiet howl to let you know he's pleased. Full honesty - he is no guard dog. He won't protect the house, doesn't bark at the door, and loves meeting all kinds of people who come in the house. Romeo is great with other dogs of all sizes but he can also live as an only dog too. He doesnt initiate nor try to play with other dogs but he still meshes well with them. He does NOT want to be in a home with overly energetic dogs or children. He prefers to easy going, go with the flow vibes. He much rather prefers to interact with you and gets so excited when you join him on the floor to snuggle or play wrestle and belly rubs too! Romeo is amazing with cats though! Romeo walks amazing on the leash. He doesnt pull one bit�'�|you could walk him with your pinky! He's house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car (sometimes he needs help in). He's quiet and mellow. He only has 2 speeds�'�|mosey and leisure. He loves [insert key word] 'WALKS'. He doesnt need a yard (in fact he rarely goes in the yard and does not like being left out there alone). He may be large but he doesnt need an athlete running owner or a ranch or livestock to protect. Trust us. He's the perfect dog for someone who works from home or for someone who wants a dog they know will celebrate their return home from work and their house will remain in tact. He'd be great for someone who wants a well socialized dog to take to the farmers market and restaurants or wants a large dog with a small dog lifestyle.
