About Rosie

Rosie is my 7-year-old Australian Shepherd. She is energetic, smart, stubborn, sweet, and playful. She loves belly and booty scritches, enjoys her toys, and is very food motivated. She learns commands quickly and likes having a job to do. She needs space to run and would do best with a backyard that matches her energy level. Because she had limited socialization during COVID, Rosie developed anxiety and reactivity. She is now defensive around unfamiliar people and animals and needs slow, careful introductions. To be transparent, Rosie has gotten off her leash once and bit another dog, which was not seriously harmed. This highlighted how important the right environment is for her. Rosie needs a calm, experienced home that will not hold her past against her but will work to ease her anxiety and build her confidence. Once she feels safe, she is incredibly loving and loyal. With patience and support, Rosie has so much joy to give.
