Meet Huckleberry Huckleberry is a very shy and timid male dog, but with patience and kindness, he blossoms into a sweet and cuddly companion. Like many of the animals at Kindness Ranch-the largest sanctuary in the U.S. dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating former research animals-Huckleberry came from a laboratory setting where he never had the chance to experience a real home or gentle human touch. Understandably, he can be nervous around new people and unfamiliar environments, but he's good with other dogs and finds comfort in their company. Huckleberry would thrive in a quiet, calm home where he can feel safe and take his time getting comfortable. Once he begins to trust, he enjoys short walks, cozy cuddle sessions, and being close to the people he knows. He's a smart, sensitive soul who just needs a little extra love and patience. Due to his shy nature, he'd do best in a home without children. If you think you could be the gentle, understanding person Huckleberry is waiting for, please reach out-we'd love to introduce you!
