About Winchester

Meet Winchester - Loyal, Energetic, and Ready for a Child-Free Herd to Call His Own Winchester is a 7-year-old neutered male Border Collie/Lab mix who's been a beloved companion since he was just a year old. He's healthy, active, and happiest when he has a job to do-especially if that job involves chasing his favorite herding ball or patrolling the backyard for squirrels. Like many Border Collie mixes, Winchester has a strong herding instinct and thrives in an environment where he can run, play, and have structure. He's smart, loyal, and affectionate with adults, and he's done well with most dogs-though he prefers to avoid other dominant personalities. He's also perfectly content coexisting with cats. Unfortunately, Winchester is not well-suited to life with children. He has a natural urge to herd them, which can create a stressful environment for everyone.
