About ZENNIA (cell program)

Zennia is currently participating in our comprehensive 8-week basic obedience training program designed for dogs. Throughout this course, she will focus on mastering fundamental commands that are essential for good behavior and communication, including 'sit,' 'stay,' 'come,' 'leave it,' 'down,' and 'heel.' In addition to these commands, Zennia will engage in crate training, which helps her feel secure and comfortable in her designated space. She will also learn leash training techniques to walk calmly and obediently by her handler's side, fostering a more enjoyable walking experience. To further enhance her social skills, Zennia will interact with other dogs and people in a controlled environment, allowing her to build confidence and learn appropriate social behaviors. Overall, this program is designed to ensure that Zennia grows into a well-mannered and well-adjusted companion. Zennia is a lively dog between 2 to 3 years old, weighing in at a robust 62 pounds. She arrived in our care as a stray, sporting a thick coat that was heavily matted and in need of attention. After a thorough grooming session, Zennia has transformed and now exudes a vibrant, fresh appearance. While she handled the grooming quite well overall, she was particularly sensitive about having her neck touched. Zennia is fully vaccinated and spayed, and she has tested negative for heartworm. Currently, she is undergoing a treatment regimen for Lyme disease, which is being closely monitored to ensure her recovery. Please note that we are not a no-kill shelter, and we must make tough decisions regarding animals who are ill or aggressive. **Adoption Fees:** - $165 for dogs under 5 years old - $100 for dogs over 5 years old - $200 for cell dogs. Your adoption fee covers vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella), microchipping, heartworm and Lyme testing, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter, and a dog license. All dogs must be spayed or neutered. if they are not spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter, we'll schedule an appointment for you. **Payment:** We accept cash only-no checks, debit, or credit cards please.
