About Nico

Nico is a 5 year old chocolate brush coat Shar Pei who was brought to the shelter on 6/5/25 when his family could no longer care for him. In true Shar Pei fashion he is a bit aloof at first but warms up quickly, and is happy to get pets or go for a car ride. He loves the staff and volunteers who walk him regularly.Nico can be handled easily whether it's leashing him up or checking his ears. He loves walks, takes treats gently and is picking up leash manners quickly. Nico has not been assessed with other dogs however on walks he is not reactive or aggressive when passing them. Nico is a beautiful example of this dignified breed.
