[Read About Natural Seizure Care] My mother is 74 years old and is seeking to rehome two of her dogs. I am reaching out to several places on her behalf. They are both purebred dachshunds, both about 3 years old and weighing about 15 pounds. My mother has had several falls lately due to her dogs tripping her. We were recently forced to move from our previous home which had a fenced-in backyard to a home without one. They have never adjusted well to lacking a place to run/play. Their names are Max and Klein. Max has no known health issues but Klein has some behavioral issues, a history of seizures and issues with his eyesight. Klein is an odd dog. He loves Max and loves to play outside but he is very particular about who he likes and doesn't like. We think that he might have some underlying health issues that have not been diagnosed. He was the runt of the litter and remained very small for quite a while. He has had three seizures that we know of and has issues seeing despite his eyes being clear and having no visible cataracts. He recently bit both me and my husband when he got loose and we both had to catch him before he ran into the road. He is high-strung and easily frightened. I have tried to be as honest as possible when it comes to their nature and our situation. They deserve good homes but my mother is simply not able to care for them properly. I am only staying with her temporarily until I find work. I am helping to care for them as they require a lot of attention but I will not be able to take them with me when I move. If you have any further questions, please let me know. I will be evaluating every potential lead carefully before I make a decision and I will ask many questions regarding the home that they will be moving into. The adoption fee is negotiable and is dependent on if we need to drive out of town to transport Klein. Thank you for reading this and thank you for your consideration.
